Hi! I'M Roast Beef.

Roast Beef is bonded with his best pal Pot Roast and have to go home together. They are still learning to trust humans. Roast Beef tolerated his foster family but does not appreciate being held. He will accept pets for treats. He dose NOT want to be held. His pal Roast Beef is helping him learn to trust, but this duo will need a home that is low key and patient to let him come out of their shells on their own terms. Because they are not your typical snuggly kittens, this duo should go home without young children. If you are looking to add a couple felines to your home and have patience and understanding, stop by any day between noon and 5 pm to meet these two! Their combined adoption fee is $187.50. They are in a foster home. If you would like to learn more about them please email adoptions@lawrencehumane.org

Video Matchmaking Appointments Until We’re Past COVID-19 Threat

  • Anyone interested in adopting a dog can sign up for a matchmaking appointment. Appointments can be made on the Best Friend Finder Page.
  • The matchmaking adoption counseling appointments will be held via video conferencing. One of our trained adoption counselors will match you with a recommended dog fitting your wants and needs.
  • Shelter staff will then coordinate a time and place for you to pick up your new pet from its current foster parent.
  • All recommendations from health officials for social distancing will be observed during the scheduled pet pickups.
  • This is for dogs only. We are currently developing a strategy for cat adoptions.
